...as for the Ottomans having it before the English....check back and see who was there before them and for a longer period of time....from the Dorians till the Byzantines...as far as the Turkish propaganda is concerned I did not read any postings making such accusations...your editors are just ignorant and irresponsible...and if they meant the mistake they are just idiots....

This issue is now 3 months old, Lonely Planet Magazine editor Peter Grunert explained the situation here (see post #2), Lonely Planet issued a response in both English and Greek, and anyone who wrote to Lonely Planet should have received a personal response.
