I've never listened to this guy. Back in the 1980's in New Zealand, folk music was extremely hard to come by. A handful of Steeleye Span album's were available and perhaps Pentangle. That was it, except for the odd import - Martin Carthy, The John Renbourne Group, Maddy Prior, The Albion Band etc. You'd have to be quick to get in though. It wasn't possible to order in those days. But the 'folk' bins were also full of Richard Thompson, Loudon Wainwright III and John Martyn. I just never got around to listening to him. Is he worth while ?
