As aforementioned, this flik was shot in the neighbourhood where we live and work. That 'Har-Dee Har Har' Joke shop run by Christopher Walken's character is in fact Gale's Diner, arguably the cheapest greasy spoon in all of Canada. We've often wondered whether the owner is a rich philanthropist or something, his prices have been just silly for decades! Also, the building across the road (Parcel Inc) was the site of a colorful mural showing that pseudo-Supremes trio, 'The Baltimores'. A colleague's hubby did the paint work on that mural---this is Toronto's Film District. And Fiddy Cents got 'shot' in his bioflik on the same corner 2 yrs ago. Now you know. Anyone else had flix shot in their immediate neighbourhoods lately or ever?

I am done. The end.

My city (Milwaukee) is nothing like Toronto, but there's been a few movie scenes shot here. Part of a car chase scene in Blues Brothers was filmed here. It took me out of the movie the first time I saw it because it shows very distinctive Milw. landmarks, so it made me wonder how they had gotten here from Chicago so quickly. Until I realised they were supposed to still be in Chicago. (They needed to film in Milwaukee because we had a bridge that, at the time, was not finished yet.)

Our baseball stadiums have been used in movies -- our old one in Major League, and the new one in Mr. 3000.

Dawn of the Dead was supposed to be set in Milwaukee, but it was filmed in (where else?), Toronto..

Also, I know a guy who has a farm in Reeseville, Wisconsin, which a film studio rented and used to make a movie called Reeseville.
