thanks. EP

i don't have my links handy since i'm at work, but you can check your local library. many public & school library systems have begun lending e-media. this is an example of where i download e-books: calgary.lib.overdrive.com
(apologies, the embedded link feature isn't working and i altered the URL to bypass the error)

another source for e-books is on usenet (lots of genres available, routinely updated) or newsgroups like the following: www.fictionwise.com/newsgroup.htm & www.fictionwise.com

that latter method (usenet) can blur the legal line, but you also get a lot of gutenberg e-books that are public domain: www.gutenberg.org (search grimm for classic children's lit)

i've been downloading books for a few years now and rarely come across children's books, but i haven't actively seeked them out. perhaps i should. good luck.
