I heard that in the 70s, Singapore made backpackers cut their hair!! Does anyone remember this or instances in other countries where backpackers were 'unwelcome' or hindered in traveling?SC

doesn't Disneyland have an annual goth-day out every year now...how things have changed. getting back to the 70s and backpackers, is alot of that 'magic bus' - Istanbul-Delhi - 'hassles from the man' just fantasy or did backpackers back then get alot of hassle / hinderance from the authorities?
