There clearly is a lot of Christian symbolism in the books (and thus films I guess). And though I'm not religious in the least and it annoys me that churches get involved by pushing the Christian factor it doesn't change the fact that they're good books. Take from them what you want. Similarly the bible is a book I've always wanted to read as it has some good stories in it. One or two times I may have thought it was a little over the top on the Christian stuff but overall I just ignore it.

I didn't bother me, but then again, I only noticed the very obvious Aslan=Christ bit. Was there anything else?

At first it bothered me, b/c as a child I never imagined aslan as jc, just this magical lion.

didn't like Caspian the flick as much. Totally cast wrong and what's up with the Spanish accents.

was it really spanish? it was just a weird accent, imho....

I totally did not understand the symbolism as a kid - they were just good magic stories.

As an adult it doesn't bother me. If I read a book set in a land with suspicious similarities to Valhalla, and realized the characters represented Odin and Thor and Loki, I would think it was a clever use of mythology and wouldn't be upset about it. Same with Christian mythology.
