Coming to a theater near you....

There are 7 volumes in the Chronicles of Narnia.

But they're skipping some - for example they skipped the first book - and the third or fourth one as well.

really? will the story flow? i ahve not read any of the books....

what do you guys think of the first two movies?

Yeah the story can flow because the books are about Narnia not just the characters from the Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe (though some of the books to focus on them). For example the first book which was not made into a film is about the guy who's house the 4 kids from the Lion... go to who, as a kid, ends up in Narnia.

There is a relevance to the other books (for example in that first book you find out how the Ice Queen found herself in Narnia) but they're not necissary to the main plot. It's well worth reading the books.

I loved the books as a child and then a librarian told me the Christian symbolism.

I loved Tilda Swinton as the White Witch.

Haven't seen the 2nd one, although the MIssus and daughter have and they enjoyed it. Liked the first one.

I read the books as a child too and loved them. It's only when I started reading them to my own children that I realized there was Christian symbolism in them.
