Christopher Priest

Anyone familiar with his work. I bought The Prestige after seeing the film and really enjoyed it, so on the back of that I got The Affirmation (a man who has lost his job, his father died and broke up with his girlfriend tries to et his life in order by writing an auto biography), which I also enjoyed but it was a bit head bending. A while back I got another of his called The Seperation (identical twins who during WW2 go seperate ways. one joins the Air Force another becomes a conceintous objector) which is even more head bending, I get it it but it hurts to think about it.
As I was going through a bit of a book buying phase I then got The Glamour (a camera man who is injured in an explosion trie to piece his memories back together with the help of a former girlfriend?), a really good read with a few mini twists that turns things on its head and I was expecting a big pay off. There was a twist at the end but I just didn't get it. Has anyone else read The Glamour and do you know what the end is about, apparently the original went through a re write?
