He wrote a lot of it. Here is a great recording of a personal favorite.
Not a lot of foot-tapping subject matter there- Taxi... | 1
Nigel Kennedy and the Irish Chamber Orchestra performing BWV 1041 Allegro assai is more lively. Nigel rocks! | 2
Only marginally better. Would be significantly more visually enhanced however if they had a troupe of nubile, mini-skirted Irish sheilas doing a jig. | 3
I'm sorry, Drovers_Dog, I had forgotten that there is something terribly wrong with most people. The religious music in not especially foot-tappish. However, there are a few pieces that do move along nicely. Imagine you are at Sunday Mass and the organist is playing something rousing at the end of the sermon as everyone files out of the church. That's about as good as it gets. I did post, for your listening pleasure, a spectacular interpretation of the allegro assai from his Violin Concerto No. 1 performed by the very talented Nigel Kennedy and the Irish Chamber Orchestra. You didn't by chance note the tempo and that Nigel was in fact tapping his foot? You must see that I am of a very clever sort, to have included foot-tapping in a live performance of Bach. Yes. I amaze even myself, thank you. I do not believe a jig will work with this music. In fact, I'm sure it will not. The jig is dance to music of middle eastern and north African origin. Bach is purely Bavarian Brotherhood of the Illuminati. I suggest you may enjoy Richard Wagner or Gustave Mahler, two of Hitler's favorites. | 4
Imagine you are at Sunday Mass and the organist is playing something rousing at the end of the sermon as everyone files out of the church. I'm having difficulty with this as I'm not all that big on religion but if I were I'd prefer to have something rousing like this at Sunday Mass personally. The jig is dance to music of middle eastern and north African origin. Somebody better tell those damned Oirish then. | 5
And if that doesn't suitably align your planets then get your head around - the second movement. | 6

Bach wrote some jigs, although he spelled it gigue. | 8
Thanks for sharing, I was unaware of this work. I usually listen to classical music when I am coding, because I can't concentrate if the music has words or, as in this case, words that I can understand :) | 9
If I have to pick out one piece of Bach it's this. | 10
