A friend and I are looking at traveling from New Zealand to Rarotonga for about 5 nights somewhere between 12-20th September this year. I'm planing to go to Palau for 1 week for a honey moon vacations trip.
We have been in south east Asia twice mainly in Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines, sumatra,java,bali,gili's, Singapore, KL, Palawan.
We have dive 3 times before however we doesn't have a license.
In Palau We are planning to do a fun dive, or get the license before the trip and do not so advanced dive in palau.

What is the official status of Guam? I know its not a state but assuming its a province of the US? If that's the case, do I not qualify for duty free if I visit Guam using a US passport? Does anybody know? Thanks

Generally I roll my eyes when folks ask such a general question, but we are a bit baffled with all of the island options, so looking for any advice and/or suggestions.
We are limited to the 3rd week of August and hoping for hot weather, a nice beach, possibly some adventure and on the inexpensive side. The less developed, the better.

We're sailing the Society Islands for 10 days starting next week...we'll be visiting Bora Bora, Raiatea, Tahaa, and Huahine. We are very excited about diving during our trip and will definitely be diving in Bora Bora for sure, but does anyone know which of the other islands would be best for diving? I can't seem to get info on which islands are best.
