Im planning on spend up to 2 months travelling round the south pacific.
I will have no time restrictions as I'm travelling RTW for up to 2 yrs

I want to visit fiji, samoa, tonga, cook island and bora bora,

I'm looking for recommendations on how to get from island to island, possible ferries/ cruises ar flight are expensive and awkward as some flight would mean flying back to Auckland.

Hi lovely people,

I have spent the last few days reading many topics on Fiji and I am now looking for a bit of advice (please!)

Some details: My boyfriend and I intend to head to Fiji after 6 months of travelling in South America, before heading to New Zealand for a month. As you can imagine the plan will be predominantly to relax (which is why I would like it booked and worry free in advance as we plan to do the rest on an ad hoc basis). That said I like to have the option of some activities…

Hello all, I'm flying in to Suva for a work trip in early November and cant miss the opportunity to see some of Fiji while I'm there.

I'll be flying in and out of Suva and want to take 3 or 4 days off before I go back to sunny England.

Basically, is there any advice on a very short itinerary leaving from Suva going to the other islands and seeing some of the Fiji I see on the photos!?

I'll be alone and looking for cheap(ish) accommodation, but for something amazing I'm happy to pay.

I'd love…

Hi travelers,

for a travel-project i am looking for accomodations that are innovative and/or try to impress or surprise their guests (in whatever way). The range can be from Guest-Houses to 5Star Hotels.

I will be traveling in the pacific region, new zealand and australia.

Can you give me some tips for my research?
(Please Name, Country, City and what is so special about that place)

Warmly

Sten

Hi all,
Just wondering if banks in Noumea are OK with Amex travellers cheques. I had no trouble with them in Vanuatu a couple of years ago but last year in Penang it took all day to find one branch of one bank that would cash them. I'll be taking a credit card as well, but I've got left-over cheques I want to use as well.

thanks,

Hi everyone, so far I haven't found any agency that does overnight kayak rentals on Vavau. Does anyone out there know if it is possible to rent kayaks overnight? I will be traveling with three friends and ideally we dont want to worry about having to return kayaks at a certain time etc? We are hoping for a little more freedom to go at our own pace. If we cant find overnight rentals we are considering taking inflatable kayaks with us? Good idea? Any advice and/or tips will be appreciated..Thank…

Dear community,

I would like to do an explorer island hopping trip next November (for the whole month) on the Southern Pacific Islands (Samoa, Fiji, Cook Islands ...) and am looking for some input from the community, as my research on Google just led to resort, scuba diving, wedding, beach etc. type to trips.

Basically I am wondering whether you might be aware of a place that consists of a large majority of smaller atolls (as in really small) that are accessible without spending weeks on a…

Hi.
I've searched for this topic but can't find anything and I've even googled until my eyes are blurry but getting no answers.
I'm going to Fiji in December with my partner. I'm looking to spend a day on a private island, just the two of us, for his birthday. But the only thing I can find is the yasawa Islands (very expensive), turtle island resort (who require a 1 week minimum stay) or a Fiji boat hire company who can arrange it but after 4 emails they still haven't got back to me.
Does anyone…
