Hi -
Just wondering whether someone can tell me whether the beaches on Caqalai are effected by big tides. We're travelling with an 18 month old water baby who will want to swim as often as she can! Is it possible to swim at low tide or is swimming limited to a couple times in the day?
I guess my other question is whether Caqalai would be suitable for a little one - looks like it'd be good (we were thinking of staying 10 days - too long?).
Thanks everyone.
My fiance and I are honeymooning in Samoa, spending 7 nights from Sept 9 (Sunday - Samoa time)
Firstly, we are aware of the warnings on Thorn Tree and would prefer to exclude these from this topic, many thanks.
Our questions are:
1) We arrive the day after the South Pacific Games finish - what effect is this likely to have in?
2) Given that we have 7 nights, are we better to stay in Suvaii or Upolu's South Coast, or the best of both? What are the pros and cons, excluding the dogs and theft issues…
most active and accessible? Im going in July and only have a weekend free to see one volcano.
We will be traveling between 5 islands from Papeete on Air Tahiti. I have read that the baggage limits are 44 pounds for each checked luggage, and 6 pounds for each carry-on. This sounds difficult to maintain, given that we will be taking snorkeling gear plus purchasing items to take home. Are these limits strictly enforced? Do they weigh everything, including my purse? I understand that there are hefty fees for overages. Thanks!

Hi guys
My husband has been short listed for a teaching position in Fiji (Suva) and was wondering if anyone can offer some advice about moving to and living in Fiji for 12 months. We will also have a 1 year baby with us.
Looking forward to any feedback
Thanks Kylie
Hello Everyone...
I will be going to Vanuatu in September and plan on having 8 or 9 days in the country.
I'd really like to visit Efate, Tanna and Santo. It may sound ambitious for such a short vacation but this may be a once in a lifetime chance for me.
Assuming you had 8 or 9 days in Vanuatu, how would you divide them up among the three islands?
I'm interested in experiencing local culture, beaches, snorkelling (no diving license unfortunately) and seeing Mt. Yasur (the one definite thing im…
Hi there,
does anyone know which airline does flights between Saipan and Tinia and Rota?
Any valid schedules on websites or phone numbers?
I can't find any...
Cheers,

Hi guys,
apologies in advance as I know there are some similar posts up about this. Basically I am hoping to go the tribewanted island of vorovoro next march for 2 weeks and am hoping to spend a week elsewhere in fiji either before or after (whether the days are split either side or not).
I'm guessing it might be better to do a straight week after vorovoro in order to fit things i want to do in? How easy is it to get around the islands?
Also I've been reading other posts and looked at some…
Hi. Can anyone help?
I'm looking for a way to get from Cairns/Darwin to Indonesia by sea, possibly with a freighter.
Does anyone know if this is possible, or how I could go about it?
I would appreciate any suggestions, thanks
