Where to stay, appr 1 week, beach, relaxing, good accomodationCountry forums / Pacific Islands & Papua New Guinea / Fiji
Hi there, I guess it is all about to be as specific as possible to get some decent replies. Above headline suppose to give an overview. Yes, it might sound boring but this time it is a break without to travel and to explore a lot on site. Even though I do not like the full touristy stuff neither to waste money on some fake local entertainment it might be the only chance to get a bit spoiled with beach, possibility to dive, not necessarily posh but good food and some quality accomodation. Contradiction?? We will start from NZ - two people, looking at roughly one week in Sep10 and yes money does matter. So these $2000 + bungalows do look great but are not on the list. I wonder what money should be at least expected if looking at this kind of accomodation - So easy access to the beach would be perfect. Also and that might sound that I am just an arrogant and ignorant dude, I do not need this kind of family destination..... Uuuups- No, I like kids but if the choice for this trip is available I would go for the more quiet (kids) places. I am aware that Fiji is huge but I did not want to limit the response by putting forward a special island. cheeerioooooo
The Mamanuca islands are easy to get to from Nadi. | 1

We have just done a 3 day cruise to the Yasawa Islands. Cheers, | 3
We just got back from a trip to the Yasawas too. Nanuya Island Resort (on the blue lagoon) was a great value, nice relaxing resort. About NZ$220 per night incl breakfast. It is 5 hours by boat from Denerau, but you could always fly if you were in a hurry. Best thing for you: Kids under 17 are banned. But it does book out quickly. I did pick-up a dodgy stomach (not sure what from), but I would still go back. | 4
