Hmm, that sounds more Catholic than inheritors of the Methodist tradition.
Couple of quick "Hail Mary's" to clear the slate, then start all over again!

Try to get the book 'Tales of the Tikongs' by Epeli Hai'ofa.

Quote: "Our people work so hard on Sunday it takes a six-day rest to recover."

If you did not understand the "Pacific Way" so far, these twelve stories will finally turn you into an expert. It is a real fun to read it.

Quote from the cover text: "Tiko, a tiny island in the Pacific Ocean, faces a tidal wave of D-E-V-E-L-O-P-M-E-N-T, which threatens to demolish ancestral ways and the human spirit.

I have read the book (and I think I've met some of the people!)

Wow! Very good for Niue. Maybe less people will be leaving the island with all this new easy contact with the outside world. The other technical thing that really impressed me about Niue is that all their power and telephones lines are underground. No ugly power lines like we have all around the island here in Hawaii that are always falling over and cutting out our power. Aloha
