Myself and the wife to be are planning a wedding away and would really like to have it in the Cook Islands. Ideally we were thinking next February would be best but from what we've been reading it seems like a bit of a dice roll when it comes to having decent weather. We do have some flexibility in the schedule since it's not booked yet and wondering if a month earlier or later would really be better or if we should just go with the dates we have in mind. (second week in Feb)
Any advice guys and gals?

It will be hot and humid from December to April, so moving it a month either way from mid-Feb. won;t make any difference in that respect. For a honeymoon, I would definitely recommend you stay at a place with air-con, unless you are very comfortable in humid places.
It is the rainy-er season from Nov to April. You get 8 or 9 inches a month, as opposed to 5-6 inches a month the rest of the year. But it often just rains for 20 minutes or so at a time, not really the whole day. So, I'd stick with your current plans rahter than move them a month either way.

It's a dice roll no matter when you go.
We got married in August, it rained all night and most of the morning then cleared up to beautiful clear skies in the afternoon.
But that's what it's like. Just because it is fine or raining now doesn't mean it will still be doing so in 30mins.
It's currently the "dry season"... We've had about 2 dry days since the middle of May!
You'll have a great time, regardless of the weather - if the dates you have work for you, I'd just leave it and cross your fingers.

I was married in the Cooks in March...at the end of the month and it was beautiful BUT....
The rainy season runs from late Nov - March (their summer). And as has been mentioned there is a good possiblity of rain during the Feb period.
Historical weather can be found at: www.weatherbase.com

If you need a wedding planner I know a wonderful one! Her husband is also THE wedding photographer on the island.
Her name is Sarina and here's her website if you need it. She is an islander and is quite kind and very organized. Congratulations!
