Hi.
I mostly will be staying in Backpacker's and Home Stay's whilst in Fiji. Should I take a travel Mosquito Net with me? Do backpacker's provide a Mozzy Net on single beds?

My boyfriend and I travelled to Fiji and had an amazing time. We were there for two months so got to experience a big chunk of the country - and on a budget!!.

YASAWAS: Took the Yasawa Flyer up: Was really expensive, comfortable ride, kinda had no choice but to go on it. (Looking at $100 per bure – usually sleeps two people)

I've decided to take a week on a pacific island on the way back to Sydney in Dec/Jan. I will visit either Fiji or Vanuatu but cant decide which one. I've been to Fiji before (12 years ago) I spent 5 days hanging out on Viti Levu which I liked a lot, especially eastern kings road area.

So my question is, I want to go somewhere that is easy and not too expensive to get around on public transport (boats and buses). I'm a 45yr old solo female so not looking for back packer places where drinking…

Hello - first time poster.

We are travelling to Fiji and will land in nadi early in the morning (5am). My guess is that the sensible thing to do is to find a local hotel - any recommendations - we are are family of 4 - 2 young kids. We usually aim at mid budget - think holiday inn, best Western etc. Am i right to assume that this is a quick taxi ride from the airport?

Hi there. Heading to Fiji on from July 11th to July 29th. The first week will be getting married at the Royal Davui resort in Beqa Lagoon, and from there will be backpacking around the islands (from July 19th to 29th or so).

My question is around how stringent we need to be around making reservations? Was hoping to play our travel by ear a bit and go where we feel like in the moment, but am wondering if there is always accommodation readily available throughout the country?

Hello all! I have been reading through alot of threads here and haven't found exactly what I am looking for.
We will be arriving at Nadi 5:10 AM and need to get to the Warwick Hotel. We will be staying there 4 nights before coming back to Port Denarau and catching the flyer out to the Yasawas.

The private transfers the Warwick can set up for us cost F$135 each way, for a total of F$270. Is there a way to hire a taxi that can take us to a few stops on the way to the Warwick that is cheaper…

Hi guys just booked a night in Drift In Hostel,Nadi,
I've noticed on various web sites they do a free shuttle from the Airport, to get this service is there a desk at the airport or do you have to ring direct to the hostel, if so has any one got the number as I cant find it !!
