What's the best way to get to Fiji from Bali?

Hi,
I looked through the last two editions of LP Fiji guidebook, but they don't list any accommodation in downtown Nadi at all. I know a few hotel names from the older sources: Sunseekers Hotel, Nadi Hotel (not Nadi Bay Hotel !), Budget Travellers Backpackers Inn, Nadi Downtown Backpackers, Hotel San Bruno.
Do these hotels still exist?
Does anybody know these places and their prices?

I will be landing in Nadi on Sunday, June 27, in the morning, and I'd like to go by bus to Sigatoka.
Does anybody know how are the buses running on Sundays?

Hi Guys.

I'm going to Fiji for two weeks and want to know what the cheapest way to get around is? I want to head out to the islands, everybody I've spoken to has recommended the Yasawa islands, but not sure what the best way to get there is. People have told me about the Bula Pass but this seems quite expensive. Is there any other way to vist the islands for a cheaper price, for example buying one way to tickets to each of the islands I want to visit.

I've been reading a bit about Fiji, with the intent of not asking the same types of questions. Traveling to Fiji in about 1 week with my wife, 3yo daughter and parents. Flying into Nadi. Going ultimately to the Coral Coast (near) to help rebuild an elementary school library.

Would like to go a few days to Blue Lagoon Resort. Obviously the Flyer is the way to go. Is there a more economical way other than a 7 day pass, since we may not do island hopping?

Hi fellow travellers!
We are planning a trip to Fiji in December - 30 November to 4 January 2011, with a stop over in Sydney. As we are travelling all that way, we are making a holiday of it and will have 21 days to enjoy. I have had so much advice and it seems that Fiji is a paradise destination. BUT I am worried the Husband will be bored of 3 weeks of island life and snorkelling and diving. He likes to keep busy.

Needing some feedback/help on my proposed itinerary.
I arrive in nadi on 16th july @1600 and have made 1night reservation at Drift In Fiji Hostel, mostly because of the price and free airport pick up!!!

My girlfriend and I are looking to travel in Fiji for the month of July (about 4 weeks), and are wondering how we can do so on a budget.
I spent 4 months in India, Nepal and Thailand for $1000 including everything but airfare, but don't think that's realistic here.

Have a good 3 week itinerary? ...A family member is already giving us a week at a time share (Naigani), so we're thinking of places to go/stay after July 9th until about July 29th.

I am planning a surprise trip to Fiji for my mum, who lived and worked there in the 1950s. I am going to buy the Lonely Planet guide, because I've never been there either, but I really wanted to get a bit of info. For starters, we don't want to stay at one of the resorts. Mum used to live/work in Suva, so I'm figuring we'll use that as a base and do our exploring from there. A stupid question: is it safe there? Are there decent hotels there?
