Hi all,

So my plan is to arrive in Fiji on 8th Sep - I will make my way the following day (with my partner) to Danny's homestay for 3 nights - the reviews have me thinking this is a must for any visitor to Fiji...but then we have 4 more nights to play with before we leave Fiji.
Where should we go? We want some good snorkeling and just a nice beach, nice food, picture postcard Fiji and not too much of a party place...more towards the budget end of the scale though - we are backpackers en route home after 20 months away!!!
I'm thinking heading to any of the islands will be a trek in the 4 days...or is it doable...our flight isn't out of Nadi until 10pm - but we will be leaving Danny's on a Sunday so not sure if that makes a difference to public transport. Are we best staying on Vitu Levu? (I hope that's spelled right!)
Any ideas???

Thanks :)

consider Lawaki on Beqa. I went there after Danny's and cannot complain. only FJD$35.00 by boat (one way) to get there

The picnic to the sand bar is a must.

it is in the Beqa Lagoon and the Royal Davui Island Resort is there also http://www.royaldavui.com/index.html

Thanks so much for that...how much transport time should I allow to get there from leaving Danny's?
And then is it relatively easy to get back to Nadi...our flight isn't until 10pm on the Wed night so was hoping to be able to do it in the one day.
thanks again

The other place you might consider is the very economical "Beachouse" near Sigatoka, has dorms but also separate accommodation, breakfast & afternoon tea, use of kayaks etc, pool. Near Sigatoka, central in Coral coast, check out the website. Also see budget activities on Tripadvisor Fiji forum under Thebirchadventure's posts.
