We're going to Fiji from 25 october untill 5 november. Will the manta rays still be there? I would love to see them!

Greetings from Holland,

Hi, it will be very late in the season to see the Manta Rays but there is a slim chance. I was there a few weeks earlier last year and had to wait around on the beach for 3 days staying at Mantaray Beach Resort in the Yasawa Islands. The channel they swim through is near by so they send a boat out to find them at the change of the tides. IF they are located they come back, ring a bell, everyone piles in the boat and off you go. They you all jump in and snorkel like crazy in hot pursuit. It's a great thing to do, but as I say it will be late in the season. Best asking the resort directly if you are most likely too late but even if you are they have, I think, the world's best snorkelling straight off their beach out from of the resort. Enjoy! (I'm just back from another trip to Fiji as of last week)

Try Kandavu. Look for Dive Kadavu. Really good place and the best dive without crowds. There is a big chance to spot them there!
