I am planning on staying at the Intercontinental in early-to-mid December and wanted to have a picnic organized at a secluded beach somewhere... Take a helicopter (or boat if it's close) to a nice quiet beach, and find a high-end picnic set up on the beach with champagne...

Any ideas how I can go about setting this up? A tour operator? A travel agent? Any recommendations on particular beaches or agencies to work with?

Thanks!

The other consideration is the weather - I want to increase my chances of sun! I'm assuming I want to then go to a southern island?

Why not ask at the hotel??
You are staying at a 5star world class hotel. Im sure that they can make the picnic memorable.

Why a southern island? Fiji is in the southern hemisphere, so there is likely to be more sun in the north.
As far as rain, it tends to rain in the aftenroon in the wet season of the tropics, wo earlier in the day would be better for your picnic.

Ask me about the Island Builders of the Pacific.

Thanks for the suggestions! The Intercontinental has not written me back yet, so perhaps I will give them a call just now.

As for weather - I've read the southern islands are drier in December and remain sunny while the rains come out in the afternoon on the bigger islands... of course, I've never been to Fiji, so please correct me if this is wrong!

Getting email responses from ANYONE in Fiji is troublesome. Your best bet is to either wait til you get there or telephone them

I agree - I've gotten only one or two email responses... but have not heard back on my follow-up questions. I got a quote through the Intercontinental, and it's a tour organized by Island Hoppers. I also wanted to email them directly, but have gotten no responses. Will be calling tonight.
