Hi all!

I'm flying on the 8th of August for 1 week to Fiji from Sydney before heading to the US. I will stay one night in Nadi because I arrive very late but after that I would like to discover more. I heard that camping would be a good option.
Can anybody advise me where I could do that. Otherwise I'm looking for budget accommodation, preferably no resort and party beaches. I'm travelling on my own. Would love not to lose too much time with transport.

Tx for your advice! Happy travels!

V.

I suggest Danny's two and a half hours by bus from Nadi on the Coral Coast

Where did you hear camping would be a good option? I would dispute that. You may be able to camp at some of the smaller backpacker type resorts - but the cost of their dorm beds is probably almost the same.

I've just been looking for accommodation for myself and my partner and noticed that Uprising, which is where we think we'll stay and has good reviews, also advertised it has camping spots...can't remember the price. Just google Uprising Fiji and it should come up.

You can pitch a tent on Vorovoro island: www.tribewanted.com.

I thought Tribe wanted had died a natural death.

Ask me about the Island Builders of the Pacific.

Whenever someone posts about camping in the South Pacific I hear the THUMP of falling coconuts hitting the sand.
