Am planning to make the Sydney, Melb. loop - via ACT going and coast back; but i'm worried about the damage the brushfires may have caused. Is March (that's when i'm headed off) going to be a bad time? Will it still be pretty burnt out? Do we reckon the vineyards and farms will be in a sad state? My alternate plan was the hug the coast both ways and do a bit of Wilsons prom, Great Ocean Road and the Mornington Peninsula.
Any killer B&B's and backpacker reccommendations are also appreciated…
hi,
a friend of mine is about to book a RTWT. i have heard about a guy in Sydney who wrote a book / guide (websites) for wheelchair users in Oz.
can anyone give me any info to pass on to him?
many thanks

Hey
My buddy and I are landing Sydney on the 1st of March. So excited!!!!
We're going to be in Sydney for a few weeks then off on our travels up North. Managing to get In Paddy's day in sydney too (even though the parade is on a week early!!! ha)
No questions or anything.
Just really excited and my family and friends heads are wrecked at this stage.
YIPEEEE 6 month holiday here i come
Summer is almost over and still no annoying flies in Perth and some parts of WA i.e. New Norcia, Northam, Moora and Lancelin.
Is it the same in Albany, Geraldton and Kununurra?
Just where are the flies?
Hi im flying to Auckland from Sydney on Saturday & im thinking of staying a while. Looking for answers to a couple of questions please;
1. How easy if at all possible is it to get a 1 year working visa upon arrival? (im from Ireland if that makes any differance)
2. Would you have any recommandations for cheap single room accom? (Im tired of staying at hostels)
Thanks in advance.
Ken.
I am going to be in and around Sydney, two hours west in the Blue mountains, up in Port Macquarie and in places between Brisbane and Sydney from Feb 21 to March 21. I realize that it will be hot and muggy, getting to highs between 24 and 30, is that right? What are the lows in these areas at this time? What kind of warm clothing do I need to bring, if any at all. Thanks!!
Hello. I will be traveling to South Island in May/June, coming from a very warm island in the Pacific where I do not have access to stores that sell coats or other warm clothing goods. Some people have told me that it'll be very expensive for me to buy these types of things in NZ in June. Does anyone have any thoughts on this matter? Thanks in advance.
