Australia, New Zealand & Antarctica

I've looked at a number of websites for places to stay in Halls Gap, and was wondering if anyone had a particular recommendation about any place? We're just going to be one night in the area, looking for a comfortable hotel, motel or B&B (and if there are animals that frequent the area, that would be a bonus). Thanks, Sharon

'cos I'm going to see Billy Crystal in his play 700 Sundays tonight. It has got nothing but rave reviews.

There seems to be a plethora of exciting/innovative/different things to do in the South Island but not as much in the North.
I am going to be hanging out between Rotorua-Taupo-Napier-Hawkes Bay-Mt Mauganui for a week visiting 70 year old rellies!

What are the coolest things you've done/seen/expereinced around this area? Any suggestions to amuse me during the day (before the drag me to"the club")

I'd like to take a night time photo of sydney harbor emcompassing the bridge and the opera house. where would i be able to do this? is mrs. macquaries point a good place to do it from? is it open at night?

I am traveling in Australia, but working in Europe, via my laptop. I've noticed many people traveling with their laptops, looking for wireless connections in dorms and rooms. So may be it's time to put a list together of cheap overnight stays with a wireless connection...(or does such a list already exist?)

Feel free to add places! Or suggestions...I only wrote down places where it is also possible to sleep overnight.

Any info suggestions on what to see there, how much time to spend, package deals from brisbane? I have a month in brisbane/australia from march 8-april 11, would you take time out to fly to the cooks from there? I will have spent march 1-8 in melbourne first. Thank you! Nida

Im hoping to travel over to sydney in june for 3 weeks, i have heard that renting a house/holiday home is a cheaper way of doing things.
There is about 3 of us coming over and i just wanted to know if anyone knows of any cheap but good homes to rent in and around sydney.

We're staying at Rainbow Beach for two nights after our three day trip to Fraser, which gives us a full day to explore. We would like to maybe hire a car or 4WD so we can drive around the Cooloola Section of the Great Sandy National Park for a day.

Anyone know any decent comanies that could offer us this in Rainbow Beach? Are there any at all?!
