I am thinking of travelling 3 months in Australia in 2008.
I can still decide which periode is the best.
I would like to visit Darwin, Alice Springs and Uluru, Cairns, and then travel from Cairns by bus to Sydney and then fly home.
I was thinking of leaving in september and coming home the end of november. (from Darwin to Alice Springs, then to Cairns en down the east coast)
But maybe, due to weather conditions it is better to choose an other periode.

Just wondered if anyone had any experience of the ferry Wellington - Picton that ISN'T the Interislander, I think it's called the Bluebridge. Rates are cheaper than Interislander and it's not v heavily advertised. Does it go to/ from the same docks as the Interislander?
