I am looking for the name of good quality restaurants you would recommend based on memorable past experience.
Experience has taught me to do a little research before my visit especially regarding where to eat.
I am pretending to go for a 6 months exchange program in a australian high school. But i am having a really hard time to decide wich city is the best for me. I love the beachs vibes and warm weather, but I also considerer myself the kind of person is the smart, open mindend and kind of cult type. I am really in a ballance between the relaxed/beach/party and the smart/hipster thing. So, I spend a lot of time thing about Melbourne, but I thing the city is much more an european vibe. Sydney seems…
I have been several times in Australia with my friend. We are getting older and we don't want to sleep in dorms anymore.
Most hostels have 2 persons rooms but often very expensive.
I think about taking a tent with us, and staying at holiday parks. Or maybe in a caravan on a park. I have never seen a campsite in Australia. How is it staying there in a tent? The “party people” do they also stay in tents in such holiday parks? I am not against these people, but I want to have a good sleep at night.

Hi,
I am soon to be 38 years old and currently live in London. I run a small but successful business but London is such an expensive place to live I cannot afford to move out from my parents house. I moved back in two years ago to help me launch my business. I have had a small travel itch that raises its head occasionally, but has been bought to the fore by me meeting the love of my life earlier this year. We both agree this could be a 'forever' thing. He has planned to visit Vietnam for a…
For our trip to the South Island in February 2018, I have in mind four possible kayak outings, each for several hours to a half-day. However, I just realized that three of them would be in a five-day period, which seems like too much, especially considering that the people I'll be traveling with don’t particularly like kayaking. Hence, I would appreciate opinions about which of the outings I have in mind are don’t misses and which may be expendable. I fully recognize that the weather may help…
Hey All,
I'm arriving in Darwin on July 26 and need to make my way down to Brisbane, but have no timeline. Looking to explore the west coast, and possibly Alice Springs. Anyone heading that direction in a car/van and would like a travel buddy? I'm can drive (automatic only) and definitely willing to pitch in for fuel!
Hi, me and my boyfriend have applied for WHV but haven't heard anything back yet. Has anyone heard of people being accepted or denied after disclosing previous refusal of entry to another country. We were refused entry to the us last summer as they thought we were going to work in a bar due to different messages they read on our phones. Has anyone any experience of how long on this situation the WHV processing is likely to take? Thank u!!! xxx
As a couple in our mid 60s, we are wondering if we can do justice to touring Tasmania by spending 5 nights each in Hobart and Launceston, with a rental car as our means of exploring the island. Our Tasmania experience will follow a 32 day self drive of New Zealand so we are hesitant to repeat that kind of ambitious touring. However, we will consider it, if deemed necessary. My husband has knee problems so we must keep physical activity to a moderate level. We welcome opinions on this…
Hi All,
We are looking for a bit of advice. Has anyone gone round the whole of Australia in a year in a camper van? We are starting in May/June 18 and going round the whole (we hope) of Australia. We want to know where the best place is to start in relation to the seasons. Also has anyone got ideas about the best months to be in the different territories. Anyone who has done this we are interested to hear from. Thanks in advance!
Okay, I'm not Lance Armstrong, but I do a bit of cycling. Gonna be in NZ in December for a few weeks. What do you suggest in the way of finding a coupla mountain bikes. If I were in the US, I'd be stoked with a coupla inexpensive bikes from Walmart, which I'm not sure is so international. Any advice? Too, what should I expect to pay for a flight from Oz to NZ roundtrip? Thanks, mates.
