its very funny how when I read the news here in new zealand and my gf reads the chinese news about new zealand we get a compleatly different story. I read about how someone got murdered or something. she reads about many murders, rapes, and mindless volience. I also didnt notice that there is 2 police helecopters hovering above my city all night untill she found it on a chinese news web site and i went and had a look. i really feel that NZ is hiding a lot of facts from our citizens and more importantly our tourists. I think we as citizens don't really know whats really going on and as our national income relies on it we hide it from the world.
I trust that was a good dooby mate. You should try the rest of the world if you're into conspiracy theories. | 1
Have done. I trust you "see the world" and open your eyes. | 2
Yep, I think you've either forgotten to take your prescription or you've had a bit too much of the non-prescription stuff. You're not a Raelian by any chance are you? | 3
i'd say there's not enough 'state control' as far as the op's concerned! | 4
I'm more inclined to believe that the Chinese papers manufacture information than the NZ ones conceal it. | 5
Herb, get a grip my man. The paranoia is setting in. This can happen when you closet yourself indoors and go into bucket bong lockdown. Put the business away in a safe place for a couple of days, hopefully you won't remember where, and step outside for a spell. Now, find a fast flowing stream somewhere, immerse your good self in it and try to wash out the THC residue that's obviously oozing from every pore in your being. | 6
quality post. Mad as cheese but entertaining all the same. Don't be put off by the above comments, you stick to your guns and keep posting. | 7
But I've nothing more to add. | 8
Proof that prolonged marijuana consumption causes psychotic episodes. | 9
You're completely correct, Herb. State control is such in China that the media is a very whacky phenomenon. Reading The People's Daily does indeed give a skewed view of the world. The reports in the Chinese press in the past week about slave labour were apparently one of the (if not the) frst instance of investigative reporting exposing the truth in China. | 10
I'm still waiting for a good investigative journalism piece on illegal organ harvesting in the Beijing Bugle. | 11
Journalists, reporters, newspapers, TV stations are the same all over the world. | 12

look herb you've got to get out more, i know it's winter and there's snow up to the window sills but you can't sit around all day smoking dope and reading the 'shanghai press' on the internet | 14
But you do realise that this was the same 'Uncle Herb' who was building a holiday home and was concerned about high power bills while he was overseas for long periods. It almost sounded as if he lived overseas almost permanently. The two don't quite add up. | 15
dune, I think your right. Care to join me? what city/village are you in? | 16
aimlach, overseas students $3 billion a year. | 17
