Starting the trip in Auckland. Need hostel

Hi. I am starting my NZ rtrip in Auckland and I want to meet people so I will be happy to get a recommondation for a big central hostel in Auckland

ACB is a good place to sstart with cause it is central and big. It iss not that nice, but it is good to meet people in the begining of the trip.

I liked Albert Park Backpackers - very central location, nice roof top with a cool view of the Sky Tower, not very quiet though.
As I travelled around NZ, I found it easier though to meet people in small places (10-20 beds) - often all guest sat at one table and had breakfast or dinner together. Almost a family-feeling :-) BBH has several small hostels, the number of beds is listed in the BBH-Guide.
