Be aware, due to multiple slips north of Haast on SH6, the road is closed and there are no detours.
Check NZTA website for information and updates as to re-opening.

Please ... if you're going to give a traffic alert on a travel form, be factual and don't over-dramatise it.
The closures are planned, fairly minimal, and short-term - read about it here on the NZTA website.

No - that's old news. Read this latest.

Those of us who live here and are affected by road closures, usually know what we're talking about.
“At this stage it is looking like the highway may remain closed today given the ongoing bad weather which has led to multiple slips south of Fox Glacier,” says the Transport Agency’s West Coast Maintenance Contract Manager Margarita Gonzalez-Borrero.
It's no big deal it seems - closure for a day or so. My point still holds.
But in reality - you would avoid any confusion or over-dramatisation if you stated the facts clearly - rather than a bald "Be aware, due to multiple slips north of Haast on SH6, the road is closed and there are no detours."
And in your original post - a link to the most up-to-date information would have been entirely professional. BTW - pulling the "local card" on here doesn't really wash ... on too many branches over too many instances (and a lot of years), it ain't been a guarantee of accuracy. Trust me on this.
Have a great day!

Not being dramatic - see below

Clearly states 'No detours'. My original post was to warn anyone heading in that direction - from either end - that they might get stuck in their car for a day or two. For me that would be a big deal.
It was on our local radio also as a warning that lengthy delays could happen - not just an hour or two.
But what do I know - I'm just a local.

I remember someone telling others who replied to a pos about Melbourne to butt out and leave the replies o one particular local.
