Hey,
First of all, I am new to this forum. Have seen it for a while and really liked it so finally joined up - I apologise if there has been any kind of answer to this question in previous posts, but i've had a look around and not found anything as of yet!
Basically, in July we're going to Australia for the first time, and we were wondering when travelling between Darwin or Cairns is better taking a bus tour or just flying. So, in other words, is there anything worth seeing on the bus tour (bearing in mind we do NOT wish to see Alice Springs/Uluru etc and that we would just want to go as direct as possible), and is it worth the fact it's twice the price of flying?
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks a lot

If it was me, I would rather spend my time in and around Darwin and Cairns than travelling on a bus between these two places. I would definately fly.
I'm sure there are things to see if you decided to do a bus trip, but not huge attractions like Uluru. The highlight would probably be an Outback pub or mining town. You would spend a lot of time looking at red dirt and the scenery wouldn't change very much.
