we are booked into a place in Cape Tribulation from teh 26th of June leaving the 1st of July and then we have to be in Cardwell at 9 am on the 4th of July-- we'll stay thereabouts until the 8th of july then have to be in Cairns for a meeting until the 11th--then we have 12-15th to fill up with some travellling.... | ||
I also think Cooktown is not the best use of your time. Alternatives include Atherton Tableland as you mention, Port Douglas (lovely town), the Tully River and the rainforest national park, Mission Beach and a day trip to Dunk Island. All good, and in a reasonably compact area. Presumably you are contemplating or including reef trips, Mossman Gorge, and Hinchinbrook Island off Cardwell. | 1 | |
At Mossman Gorge don't stop and turn around at the bridge- the circular walk beyond the bridge is very pretty. | 2 | |
