| sannabu20:43 UTC30 Apr 2007 | Spent a year travelling and working in Oz, and am now goin back this fall to prob. do the same thing, now, during my first stay I got really sick of noodles, spagetti and tomato sauce, but since I were moving around a lot I couldn't buy any complicated ingredients, or anything that required storing or came in big packs.
Now, I'm looking for recipes of fast cooked food, with few ingredients, preferbly healthy and nutrious as well... Any suggestions?
Cheers! //Sanna

| pagoo07:54 UTC01 May 2007 | Brussel sprouts and pancetta. Insert some brussel sprouts and chunks of pancetta into a frying pan.
Medium heat, toss occasionally until done ( 5 minutes or so ).

| waxinggibbous13:37 UTC01 May 2007 | 1 cup of green lentils 1 carrot. 1 onoin 1 large washed potato 2 largish mushrooms 400g tin diced tomatoes garlic - fresh or from a jar of minced garlic tin of vegetable stock powder black pepper to taste
This will make enough for about 2 meals for 2 people
While boiling lentils wash and rough-cut potatos and add to lentils, then chop up onion and add, etc etc finish with mushrooms. (by staggering the chopping you actually cook the harder vegiies for longer) Finally after 20 mins from the start add the tomatoes, garlic, and tablespoon of veggy stock. Simmer another 20 mins. Makes a great winter soup and keeps in a sealed container for several days even without refrigeration (The veggy stock has salt in it so dont add extra) Why I like this is that after a couple of days of soup I reheat some with a tablespoon of curry powder and its an easy lentil curry to have with rice. It gets better the second and third day. Ive been living on this for the last 2 weeks!! (But watch out for the back door breeze!) The veggy stock powder is great to use as a salt substitute too.
ps it's autumn (pronounced 'Ord'm') over here - fall is what the share price does or getting preggers!!

| ryb19:04 UTC01 May 2007 | You can always buy single pieeces of fruit and single veggies, or a few leaves of greens like baby spinach etc at greengrocers and most supermarkets. No need to buy vast quantities. Also butchers sell meat in any quantity , not just packaged into big lots.
