Anyone travelled on Virgin lately & bought grub (food)

Country forums / Australia, New Zealand & Antarctica / Australia

Do they take credit cards now adays?

To buy the snacks they have for sale on flights?

In the past one of the trolley dollys mentioned that once seat back tv monitors came in, that can be used to pay for grub with credit card, but on the screen, no choices like that were available.

I did not think about asking on my latest past flight.

Ta (muchly!)

I was on a Virgin Flight to Melbourne on Tuesday night. The cabin staff were using an EFTPOS machine.

Are you sure EAW. I've seen those EFTPOS looking thingies but I think they might just be for stock control (like the ones they wander around supermarkets with). I've never used anything but cash so can't be sure but the website says cash only.

2

Oh. That's possible Colin. I wasn't really paying attention...

Sorry daycat.

3

I'm not sure, but I thought there was the option of using credit cards - (travelled virgin in Feb), guessing though there would be a min. purchase.

4

DC - take your own snacks (cheaper) then again for a one hour flight do you really need to eat?

5

Thanks EAW dearest!
