Disappointing. Poor quality, overpriced and very inflexible staff.
I tried the lentil vegetable stack. It was over salted and the idea of
a vegetable stack turned into simply covering a rather mundane, bland,
serving of lentils with some basic vegetables. There were no chargrilled portobellos or eggplant
and a whole bok choy was thrown in - no prep whatsoever.
At $23nzd for the lentil vegetable stack, this place is getting away with ripping off customers.
All of the mains are pricey but just to…
I'll be in Rotorua for UFC 197, 25 April. Does anyone know of any bars with a good crowd for big UFC events? I tried googling a few sports bars but found no info.
This is just a heads up for anyone planning to drive around NZ, there is a lot of negative press and sentiment towards these vans at the moment

Hello;
My wife and I are seriously thinking of taking a trip to NZ and Australia in the March/April timeframe next year. Total trip time would be around 4-5 weeks and I am thinking of a campervan for 10 days in the South Island and then flying up to Auckland (or vice vesa) and renting a car for a shorter 4-5 day loop catching the Caves, etc.
I have seen several itineries here starting in Christchurch and hopefully visiting the Glaciers, Milford Sound, Queenstown, Dunedin and back. Is this…
Hi there. I've read dozens of New Zealand itineraries by now and I'm close to finalising my own. I have three weeks and I'd prefer to not travel and change hostel every day like a lot of people do. My plan is to stay at least two or three nights in each location, doing day trips from each. Would the following "hubs" cover the majority of the "must sees" most travellers see in New Zealand?
Auckland -> Rotorua -> Napier -> Wellington -> Franz Josef (one night) -> Queenstown -> Christchurch

hi
I am not sure if it is relevant place to find out this, but recently we moved to Waipawa for long term project and kind a big surprise we just found out that every time we are facing problem both with spark also with other operators... So far it's not that big issue, but signal is almost gone when we are at home. Some neighbors around already found a solution, but our family is not that technical personalities to be sure setup equipements helping with this. My husband told they got a…
Hello all,
I want to clarify something that I've heard whispers of but can't get a clear answer:
If I apply for a working holiday visa at the age of 30 do I need to be in New Zealand by my 31st Birthday? Or is here a grace period?
Thanks,
D
Our family of 4 are travelling from a tropical country to New Zealand in mid July (14 days actual stay). My husband and I are in early 40s with kids aged 11 and 9.
What we have done so far is to book our flight (confirmed) arriving in Auckland at 11am on July 16, 2016 (Sat) and leaving Auckland at 11pm on July 30 (Sat). I have not worked on our itinerary in detail but we were initially advised to spend more time in the South Islands.
(1) This trip is mainly for our children.
- They want to…
Hi, I'm looking for advice on casual work in NZ from people who've had recent experience.
I'm interested in finding vineyard work where the experience is more than just picking grapes but helping out in different areas of the winemaking process so any recommendations would be great.
I've read about certain NZ viticulture employers that should be avoided due to short-changing workers, so would appreciate any word on any employers I should avoid.
Thank you.
I booked Milford Sound Overnight Cruises from Te Anau.
It returns to Te Anau at 12:30pm next day.
After this return, we will go to Queenstown Airport by rental car.
Is it possible to connect the flight of 16:40 for Auckland?
Here is my itinerary, and I can't extend 6days schedule due to some constraints.
Day 1: 12:05 Arrival in Queenstown Airport. Car hire, move for Te Anau. 19:00 Te Anau Glowworm Caves Tour. Stay in hotel of Te Anau.
Day 2: 12:45 Pickup of Milford Sound Overnight Cruise.
Day 3…
