Hi there
I'm considering doing the Crossing walk in late January 2008.
Can anyone provide any feedback, recommendations or advice on places to stay at the National Park Village?
Any accommodation/walk "packages" that are worth investigating?
Cheers

Hi there,
I am looking for a travel mate who wants to join me on my trip from Thames to Wellington.
I am going to start from Hamilton heading towards Thames tomorrow. There is not really a fixed plan about the route, all I want is to arrive in Wellington on the 18th of December because i have to be on the ferry to Picton on the 19th.
I have a Ford Mondeo station wagon with plenty of space for two people plus luggage.
I am generally an easy going kind of person who wants to see many placesā¦
I am planning to come over to Christchurch at the begining of January. I will be hiring a car to see as much as possible around the north and middle of the South Island. Time is dictating the trip as my friend needs to fly out of Christchurch on the 16th Jan.
Has anyone got any views of the best places to go and see during this time and the best route to take.
many thanks in advance!!
Am visiting my parents in the north Island in March and have booked 10 days in the south Island, flying into Christchurch and out of Queenstown.
Am looking at hiring a camper van for the duration and doing an anticlockwise trip around the Island - Christchurch, Kaikoura, Blenheim, Nelson, Greymouth, Franz Josef, Wanaka, Te Anau, Milford and Queenstown (basically the round south island route from www.purenz.com without the Queenstown - Christchurch leg).
I have two main question areas.

I am looking for good places to eat in Auckland. I like oriental food, but not only. Thanks
I am considering walking this track in the next week or two. The recommended walking time is three days. I note it is only 36km long so it seems that a reasonably fit walker could complete the track in two days. Anyone who has recently completed the track; how manageable do you think it would be to walk it in two days for a reasonably fit walker? Many thanks.
Ciao All,
i am planning to walk the charlotte track at the beginning of january. I wonder how necessary is to make reservations before hand.
Is that difficult to find accomodations on the same day?
Also: is there a bus from blenheim airport to picton?
thank you a lot
have great travels

Hi,
My wife and I are flying into Auckland in January to begin a cruise. Can anyone tell me what the approximate cost would be for a cab to the cruise ship terminal? The cruise line does offer this transfer service, but it seems to be fairly expensive, and just wondering if we have a better option.
Thanks.
