Hey, I'm looking for a travel companion to explore the South Island with me! I'll be there from May to mid-August. I'm keen to meet people and talking to myself is a bit boring now... I have a car and I plan to gradually head south from Picton, moving from coast to coast. But nothing set yet. If you're intested, let me know!

Welcome to the forum.
I'm sure you will meet like-minded souls to travel with at the first hostel you stay in ... I wouldn't be too concerned.
BTW that is a very long time on the South Island ... I would strongly recommend a month or so on the North Island ... it is outstanding too.

I've spent a little more than 3 month on the North Island (you're right, it's outstanding) so it's time for me now to explore something else.
I don't think I'll stay in a hostel because of the price... But I'll do some woofing and probably meet someone on a farm.

Hi Mathilde,
I will be in NZ for 2 weeks in July (7th -21st). Spending a couple of days on the north island, then heading sound. I would definitely be interested in hiking or exploring.
