I'm going to New Zealand in March until the end of April. I am doing Flying Kiwi and which means that I will be in a tent whilst out there during that time. Also during the end of April until June I will be travelling around the USA with Trek America.
This means that I will need a good sleeping bag which will cover the cold in New Zealand keeping me warm whilst not being too warm for me to use in USA.

What kind of sleeping bag do people suggest would be a good for me to get?

can't reccomend a specific one but a great quality company for camping gear in NZ is Macpac.

you won't find a do all sleeping bag, so go for one that provides warmth and then unzip if it gets too hot.
Most sleeping bags are labelled with minimum temperatures .

Using a sleeping bag liner will add several degrees to the comfort rating of any bag and adds to the comfortable range available.

You could easily buy a sleeping bag at Kathmandu www.kathmandu.co.nz or Macpac www.macpac.co.nz when you get there.

If you're lucky, you'll hit one of Kathmandu's sales. If not, they'll still be able to advise you on a good bag. And they sell liners too.

Have a great time!
