Hi everyone.
I have looked in FAQs for all this but I can't find up to date answers, and there is no specific advice for WHVs on the NZ govt site.
I arrive in NZ at the end of January on a WHV. Do I need an IRD number before I start work? If so, how do I get one? Will I be able to claim tax back as I did in Australia? Do I need to register for medicare?

And as for registering for Medicare, this isnt Australia-- we dont have it. There are some reciprical rights for emergency stuff.
