Just to let you know that there are other members of the fan club.

Does anyone know when they make fares available on their website?

At the moment you can only book up to end October, and Im looking for mid-december. Is it by the month?

It looks like you are now able to book through about the middle of November. They probably only go out 45 days or so. FYI.

In the South Island, nakedbus do not actually have any buses - they contract in seats on other bus companies. From Christchurch to Dunedin it is Southern Connection, north of Christchurch it is KBus. I'm not sure who they use out of Queenstown - you don't actually know until they send you a ticket and tell you to look for a particular bus company's bus.

I've used Nakedbus, which meant I was on a Southern Connection bus - the driver was exceptionally kind, driving right up to passengers' houses and carrying their luggage in, but the bus was pretty average, less good than an Atomic Shuttle, and started out from Christchurch about 20 minutes late.

I'd use them again only if I had a severe discount (I had a $1 fare). While their fare structure is lower than Intercity, a discounted fare on Intercity is cheaper than a full fare on Nakedbus. I'd pay a little more to go on Intercity than Nakedbus (or even Atomic) as the ride tends to be more comfortable.
