Naked Bus

Yes it's a new service thats fast becoming one of the preferred ways to travel and see New Zealand. No other company offer as cheap, reliable fares and service as these guys.

I notice nakedbus advertise on your website, I'm sure your right and they are very good, but I would also like to hear from others who have used the serivce, I dont mean to be rude but I have never heard of nakedbus and i have lived here all my life, if they really are as good as you say I look forward to using them in the future. No worries. If I thought Intercity or Newmans etc were better than Naked Bus then I would advertise them. I also have lived here all my life and when I see NZ$1 bus fares I am also sceptical.

i think the proverb of "you get what you pay for" is ture for these guys. i ran in to a couple of other backpackers in rotorua who booked with nakedbus only to be left stranded in cambrdige when it didn't show. i dont think there's a number to call if you have a problem, it's all online?

Ph: 0900 62533 - NZ$1.80 per minute which is a bit steep. An 0800 free phone number would be better.

is it really that bad for no shows? i'm hoping to use it to get from welly back top aucks for my other half's birthday and the current ticket prices are 1/3 cheaper than intercity...

I and many others that I know have used them a lot and never had any problems with them.

also had a bad experience with these guys although it was really cheap. bus was really old and puffed black smoke everytime we wnet up a hill! prices dont seem to be that diferent between them and the national buses intercity. never found a $1 ticket yet so i think it's a bit of a scam really. will only use them again if i can actually get ticket for a buck. my 2 cents worth.

Locals advice is always the best and my advice is to either take it or leave it. I'm a fan of the underdog and anybody willing to take on the big boys gets my 2 cents worth.
