Dear LP,

before I heading 30 I would like to get the WHV for New Zealand. As I like traveling I am quiete poor and forced to work in New Zealand as soon as possible when I am arriving. I thought starting in Wellington or Auckland around March. I am open for everything to work as long it is leagal, I do not mind fruit picking or cleaning. I have 2 diplomas but not expecting a job in my occupation, I only would like to know if it is possible or how hard it is to find any kind of job? Please apologize my bad English, thank you in advance for you support.
Kind greetings Marion

Hey there Marion,

Your english is good! A lot better than my german!

I don't think you'll have any trouble getting a job. NZ's unemployment is low and you have a work visa, and you may find being german is actually an advantage when you go for a job as it gives you a point of difference.

Don't write off your chances of working in your field.......what are your diploma's in?

I would recommend Wellington over Auckland. The capital is a compact, vibrant city and you can walk everywhere you need to go. Auckland is a big sprawl and costs are a little higher.

One last word- fruit picking is hard, annoying work and it can take time to build your speed up to make good cash but if you arrive in march the harvest will be under way in most parts of the country if that's what you really want to do.

Haere Mai ki Aotearoa!
