Is it realistic to expect to get a decent amount of sleep on Intercity's Starlighter bus?

I'll be going from either Turangi or Taupo to Auckland, so the ride is from roughly 1:00 a.m. - 6:30 a.m. It looks like the bus stops every half hour or so, which I'd imagine makes for a rough night. Any advice and experience on the topic is welcome. TIA!

How much can you normally sleep on night buses? Or even on a night flight for comparison? I've done enough night buses here and in Asia to expect to get off in the morning having only "Nana napped" overnight. The stops apart from refreshment should only be to pick up and drop off.
