Queenstown. No doubt about it.
There's 3 or 4 different jumps to choose from, the highest being The Nevis at 134m.
Plus loads of other stupid stuff to jump off from or into.

Considering how difficult it is to actually walk on the Auckland Harbour Bridge, buckleys for bungee jumping off it.

Definately Queenstown - either the gorge or nevis.

the first commercial bungy jump was established on the Kawarau bridge just outside Queenstown and this is the best place!

Except that, Queenstown is a great place.

the scenery surrounding Queenstown makes for excellent touring, with lakes, mountains and bush around vineyards and farmland.

Westwood - why so hard to walk on the bridge? I take it you mean it's windy?

This is the info on the Auckland harbour bridge bungy. Have absolutely no idea if it is any good, or even if it is a proper bungy and not one of those controlled jump things the Skytower does. But anyway...

I would not discount the Gravity Canyon bungy just south of Taihape, particularly if you're in the North Island and wanting a fix. I can't insert a link for some reason, but google on bungy and Taihape and it comes at the top of the list. They also have a Flying Fox. These are not my sort of activity at all, but my nephews have recently been here and were most impressed.
