You said you are staying with friends in CHCH. Could they sell the car for you - later? I think in December/ January it will be a lot easier to sell the car. I was a buyer in Jan (in Auckland) and prices seemed to be very high due to the demand.

Thanks for all your replies. I finally got the car sold yesterday. It was a chance encounter at Pak n save! Yeah, Pak n Save for all your needs eh, buy your food, sell your car! Got $2800 for it so I'm happy with that. Now I better actually get round to checking out flight prices online and stop surfing and manage to leave NZ now, not that I haven't had a great time here since I have.... Ok, rambling!
