B&B's in Auckland

What part of Auckland? Near the airport? City? Suburbs?

City or suburbs.

Motel groups like Golden Chain actually have far superior accommodation options than B&B. And just as reasonably priced.

Thanks lew_stuhle. I looked into the Golden Chain motels, and many are booked in my price range for the dates that I need. . I was thinking about staying at the Mount Wellington Motel. Do you recommend them?

We don't need to stay in the CBD of Auckland, as we will have a car and don't want to pay for parking.

Does he even know where Mt Wellington is in relation to the city part of Auckland? If just for a night and you dont mind where, I'd look for something round Manukau City. Near the airport, near the motorway, theres also Botanical gardens close by plus if you wanted, you could go for a nice drive either out into the country or to some beaches.

I need some direction. We are going to stay one night in the Auckland area, and drive the next day to Waitomo Caves and Rorotua. We can be somewhere close to the highway going in that direction.

I'll get the names of some motels in the area and then you can look on Google maps for them. As I said, only about 15-20mins from airport and only a very short drive to the motorway on ramp going south. Have a look at Manukau Motor Lodge.
