When you say visiting "ANZ" - do you mean "Australia & NZ"? (ANZ is the name of a bank here!)
If so do you have to fly into AKL? You'd save heaps of time (and probably money too) if you could fly directly into ZQN or even CHC.

Sorry, yes, I did mean Australia/NZ. The team at work in Sydney call the sales region ANZ. Force of habit.

Yes, flight is already booked into AKL.

The OP hasn't advised us yet that they're heading to the South Island rather than Rotorua. Perhaps go to Rotorua since you've booked a flight into AKL, and next time fly from Sydney to CHC or Queenstown direct.

The most beautiful region in NZ is 200km around Queenstown. I can spend a whole month observing the beautiful scenery there.

If the whole geothermal thing appeals to you, then this is definitely not the only option - Queenstown is a ski centre and an adrenaline town.

I concede that Milford Sound and Aoraki/Mt Cook are exceptionally good too.

I wonder what the Op did! Funny how people want all the advice, but never return to say how it went or share their experiences with others.
