Hey everyone,
I'm trying to plan a trip to New Zealand in March, and I'll have 2-3 weeks to work with.
My goals are to:
Find the best landscape photography opportunities
Find good solo camping spots (wild/freedom camping ideally, but at campsites as well)
See the main Lord of the Rings locations (typical...but important to me)
See Seals and Penguins up close
Do a special activity or two (day trips)
First off, how plausible would all this be in 15-18 days? I know I don't need to see everything (just some of the most attractive landscapes for instance, not all of them), but the above are my main goals.
Would it be much more unlikely if I were to hitchhike than rent a car? I've heard the drive times from place to place are very long due to windy roads.
Any suggestions based on the above?
Thanks!
