I'll be visiting Australia in May after a short trip to NZ. I've come up with this itinerary but would appreciate any feedback:

Day 1: late night arrival in Cairns
Day 2: Relax in Cairns or Port Douglas, OR drive to Daintree National Park
Day 3: Daintree National Park, spend the night in Port Douglas
Day 4: Great Barrier Reef (haven't figure out which one to go to and which company to go with; any suggestions?)
Day 5: Fly to Ayers Rock in AM, spend PM visiting the Olgas and the Valley of the Winds…

Hi all,

Does anyone have any experience of renting campers from Autobarn?

The other option I'm looking at is a Wicked Camper rental, of which opinion seems to be mixed, but its about $400 cheaper than anywhere else I can find on a 9 day rental, apart from Autobarn which is about $200 more. Wicked look stupid IMHO, but they are very cheap, and I'm on a pretty tight budget.

So, is Autobarn worth $200 more than Wicked? Or is Britz worth $400 more than Wicked?

Thanks in advance!

Hi all,
I plan to visit my cousin in Sydney sometime in the Sept-Dec 2007 or Jan-Feb 2008. Any suggestions/tips on when to visit and when the airfares are cheapest? I would be coming from Los Angeles.
Cheers,
SJ

I'll be coming into Darwin via Tiger en route to Fiji.
I take an allergy medicine called Loratadine every day, and I usually stock up when I'm in a place where they're cheap, like Thailand. I also have a few other things like decongestants (for when the allergy medicine fails), vitamins, a dose of antibiotics just in case, ibuprofen, aspirin, and a few tubes of things like stuff for cuts, mozzie bites, etc. It doesn't seem like much until I list it, I never really took an inventory until I…
