my sister wants to spend 2 to 3 months in australia working on a farm, but it has to be a job where she can work with horses.
has anybody information about this? where can i find job offers?
where would be the best place to work?

Is she looking to find work on a horse stud, or does she want to ride horses as a job? For stud farms, the Hunter Valley area has lots to offer a keen worker. Trouble is, they are usually located away from public transport and built up areas, so sightseeing might be difficult if she doesnt have her own transport. But dont be put off, if she has the appropriate visa I would suggest coming here forst and then searching. For outback jobs such as a Jillaroo, she should have no problems finding something. Theres also plenty of riding schools all over the country. Good luck, Cheers Andy...

What sort of riding does she do? If she is an FEI rider at a reasonable level she could contact the EFA and ask these questions. A lot of warmblood studs will employ European riders for periods of time as short as this. Many other established stables will also take people on as working pupils.
The Land has jobs advertised which may suit her.

she is a quite experienced rider and rides a warmblood regularly.
i'm sure she won't just go there and look for a job, she's quite anxious about going that far away. actually, she wants to go with a friend, but i'm trying to convince her to go alone, because she won't go at all if she has to coordinate the whole trip with a friend (one can't ride horses, one has no money, one has no time and so on...)
i just found something interesting here: www.farmstays.org<BR>i think that would be an interesting option since she could attend school first and choose the farm she wants to work on.
