Wizard of Oz Hostel

Hi,
Has anyone stayed at the Wizard of Oz hostel in Coogee beach, Sydney recently? I was there a while back and it was okay, but then I read a review where someone said the place was not good anymore. I dont want to recommend it to anyone if the place is really that bad. The description was saying that long term people had taken over the place and were rude to new people, etc. No way do I want any of my friends staying in a place where they are treated rudely! I want them to go to a hostel where they will meet interesting, friendly people and have fun. I just remember that the Wizard was close to the beach and had a supermarket 5 minutes away and had a large covered bus stop where buses came all the time going into town, and the area seemed clean and safe.
