I am pretending to go for a 6 months exchange program in a australian high school. But i am having a really hard time to decide wich city is the best for me. I love the beachs vibes and warm weather, but I also considerer myself the kind of person is the smart, open mindend and kind of cult type. I am really in a ballance between the relaxed/beach/party and the smart/hipster thing. So, I spend a lot of time thing about Melbourne, but I thing the city is much more an european vibe. Sydney seems too big and messy, and I have heard that people there are kind of stupid (but i haven´t looked to all the suburbs either). Brisbane seems kind of boring to me, and it seems that doesn´t offer anything that I am looking for. Gold Coast looks too turistic. HELP ME PLEASEE
ps: i´m not thinking about going to small citys

Just a note States in Australia have different education systems although there are common threads. Also its not just a matter of turning up to Australia and going to any high school, only certain ones allow / cater for exchange students. So before choosing a city I'd be looking at what schools are available / what subjects are taught (will they fit in to your overall education). Some links to subjects taught in diff. States are NSW "http://www.boardofstudies.nsw.edu.au/syllabuses/" ; VIC "http://www.vcaa.vic.edu.au/Pages/vce/studies/index.aspx" ; QLD "https://www.qcaa.qld.edu.au/senior/subjects"
As far as what city - well there are endless writings on this - 99% of people in Sydney will say they have the best city, 99% of people in Melbourne will say they have the best etc. - you dont say which 6 months you intend to be here, and say you like the warmer weather so if you are going to be here in our winter then Sydney and Brisbane obviously warmer.

Welcome to the forum. These are stereotypes - and both cities have a lot to offer. Apart from the warmth, Brisbane is a second-tier choice, but a lot of people like it.
Perhaps (as #1 notes) - advise which six months you would be looking at - is it February-July?
Rather than get too technical in a pretend game, why not pretend that Australia is now part of the USA and that will open a few more choices for you.
Other than that you have Perth, Darwin, Adeliade and Hobart left though the latter might be a bit on the smaller and colder side whereas Darwin is also smaller but you could consider it has too many boofheads but be able to set eternal warmth off against that even if the sea is not always going to be the place to have a dip.
And keep playing pretend and take what you think we ought to from each city to make up a new one to submit to our government and we could have a Utopia built!
I agree with everything writen above, do try to loose your "stereotypes ideas". Do research as to which schools accept foreign students and fits best into your education (like suggested by #1). Keep an open, flexible and tolerant mind (by not thinking things like "I have heard that people in Sydney are kind of stupid).

(1) Maybe rethink your intention to visit Australia. It does not need seem to meet your requirements at all.
(2) However, while Sydney is indeed big and messy it has the best beach options and it is very popular with Brazilians. They are conspicuous at those beaches, especially at Bondi. If you are wanting make instant connections in the city then that community will help you. On the other hand, if you want to perfect your English then it would be better to avoid the Brazilians.
